East Barkwith is the next village to us here in the Lincolnshire Wolds and I was delighted when they asked my to some pictures at their charity fashion show. It was the first time they had done anything like it and it went brilliantly. The clothes were supplied by  “Simply Nothing to Wear” of the Bailgate, Lincoln and the catwalk was built by the ever resourceful Chris Wilson.

I thought it would be a good idea to create a DVD slide-show for the ladies to remember the evening by, the new version of Proshow Producer 4.5 really does make the job so easy with it’s wizard. With the earlier version I would have spent ages putting this together, I used version 4 for my 2010 wedding show reel which is featured on the Proshow website.

This is the low resolution version but a full HD one is available if you click through to YouTube.

Actor Ceri Ashcroft currently appearing as Lola in Charlie and Lola’s Best Bestest Play popped into the studio at the weekend for some updated headshots. Ceri has made a career of playing young parts, here’s her quick resume:

Ceri trained in devised and physical theatre at Central School of Speech and Drama.  Her recent projects have included: Charlie and Lola’s Best Bestest Play (Polka Theatre with Watershed Productions and BBC Worldwide), Present:Tense 11 (Nabokov Theatre at the Southwark Playhouse), We’re Going on a Bear Hunt (Polka Theatre with Lakeside Arts), Red Ladies (Clod Ensemble), A Servant to Two Masters (Rose Theatre, Bankside), Havisham (BAC) and Through the Arch (Cultural Olympiad 2012 launch).  Ceri also performs in her own one-woman theatre clown company, Jugglingspinster, at festivals around the country.  Last year Jugglingspinster performed at festivals in Norway and the UK.  Ceri has played a variety of surly teenagers for film and TV.

Charlie and Lola’s Best Bestest Play is tipped by The Times as one of this year’s must see performances.

I had the pleasure of working with two very talented people yesterday, Gareth Hains and Becky Blissitt. Gareth is a member of the 2009 England Under 21 Karate Team for the 2009 Karate World Championships Morocco (under 78kg section), Commonwealth Games Silver Medalist and 2008 British National double Bronze Medalist 2008 amongst many other titles. He is also one of the leading practitioners of Kata and had the idea to show the similarity of some of the Kata moves to ballet. Our ballet dancer, Becky, trained at the Royal Academy and together on stage at the Riverhead Theatre, Louth they showed just how good they are.

I’ve got a load of images to edit but to get started here’s one of Gareth in full flight while Becky does her thing on point.
