I recently did a shoot with agency model Jo Wilkinson, I had wanted to work with her for a number of years but as she had taken a break to have her son the opportunity has only just arrisen. It was well worth the wait, we had a fantastic shoot and one of the following image won Pic Of The Day on Model Mayhem.

The shoot was to provide some new fashion style images for both our portfolios following the current trend of subtle nudity, look in any of the mainstream fashion mags and you will see plenty of examples of this trend.

Lighting a group with one strobe

I was recently asked to photograph the 4 directors of The Riverhead Theatre’s production of Barnum, I wanted to get away from the traditional group shot so I stole an idea from Zack Arias. Zack is an Atlanta based photographer, he writes a great blog over at www.zarias.com. When he was at the GPP conference in Dubai this year he was asked to photograph the 20 plus staff and photographers, the way he did it is how I created the image below. Continue reading »
